Amid the global pandemic that struck the world in 2020, Bali experienced a significant impact as one of the contributors to the country’s foreign exchange. The tourism industry in Bali was greatly affected by a drastic decline in domestic and international tourists. However, Bali’s dependence on the tourism sector inspired arak farmers to innovate. The company took the initiative to seize the moment, with the support of the local government, and collaboratively produced an exceptional arak called Arak De’wan in the village of Slombo, Buleleng. The company’s intention is to improve the welfare of local farmers while introducing the excellence of this authentic Balinese beverage to the competitive global market. Arak De’wan is our valuable contribution to showcase the spirit and uniqueness of Bali to the world.
